New Clinic

In the summer of 2016, it was brought to our attention that the current 1-room health clinic did not meet the standards for health care clinic registration required by the government of Zimbabwe.  Because the clinic was not able to be registered, we were at risk of losing the life-saving drugs provided by UNICEF.  The idea for a new clinic was born.

The new clinic is a one-story brick building with private rooms, toilet facilities with septic waste disposal, a courtyard in the middle, a sheltered waiting area and secure drug storage.  The new clinic is currently under construction with the exterior of the building completely finished.  It is anticipated that the clinic will be completed sometime the summer of 2020.  Together with the grants received and additional support raised, this new clinic will provide vital and life-sustaining medical care for the children and HCOC community at large.
